2. How we use information

3. AI features and academic uploads

Prompts, questions, images and academic materials submitted to AI features may be sent to our AI service providers to generate the requested response. Currently this provider is OpenAI, which processes that content on our behalf only to produce your response. We do not sell this content or use it for advertising. Do not submit passwords, financial credentials, government identifiers, medical information or other unnecessary sensitive personal data. AI output may be inaccurate and should be checked against current NCERT materials, teachers and official sources.

4. Children and Kids Mode

Kids Mode is intended for use with the involvement and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian should create and manage the account, choose child profiles and review learning activity. The parent PIN is used to control access to parent areas. If you believe a child’s information was provided without appropriate authority, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We share information only as reasonably required to provide and protect the Service, comply with law, or complete a transaction. Providers currently include:

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, court order or lawful government request, or when necessary to protect users, our rights or the security of the Service. We do not sell personal data.

6. Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No online system is completely secure. Information is retained for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain transaction and security records, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Records that are no longer required may be deleted or anonymised.

7. Your choices and rights

You can delete your account and data yourself at any time from Account → Settings → Delete account, or see how to delete your account. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or raise a grievance about our processing. Some transaction, fraud-prevention or legal records may need to be retained even after an account-deletion request.

8. Cookies and local storage

The Service may use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, navigation recovery and essential functionality. Disabling essential storage may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly.

9. Third-party links

The Service may link to NCERT or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and My Study Mantra is not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Service, providers or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
